About the Role
The COTA will work in partnership with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide direct and consultative services that address students motor, sensory, and adaptive needs. Through collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals, youll help ensure that each childs therapy plan supports their individual education goals.

Qualifications and Requirements
Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current New Mexico COTA license or eligibility to obtain
Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Familiarity with IEPs and special education processes
Ability to pass required background clearances
Job Duties
Deliver therapy sessions under OT supervision
Support development of fine motor and sensory regulation skills
Document student progress and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with teachers and families to reinforce therapy goals
Implement adaptive strategies and modifications in classrooms
Participate in team meetings and IEP discussions
